Hi everyone! I have been a member of the slant for about 8 months now and enjoy reading everyones posts. Figured it is about time I put my first post up here. Don't pick on it too much! HAHA!

Nerves definitely helped SDSU in first quarter. I dont think the O-line was ready for the temp with which they ran. They seemed to be slow to get back to their spots for the first 20 minutes. Cozart was clapping his hands a lot trying to get the ball and go even faster tempo wise.

Cozart pick not his fault. If you want him to think on that throw then you will get the Cozart from last year. Fumble was his fault but he got hit about as hard as Dineen hit the QB in the 3rd.

DL needs to improve a lot. Not much hand fighting in 1st half...when they did they were not effective at all.

When Willis came in, he seemed nervous. He only threw 2 passes, but he did not throw like I imagine he does. Seemed very soft and like he was thinking "Don't screw up."

Weineke abused our CB's, but I would say it was quite a bit of inexperience. Along with Height difference. Might face that a bit throughout the season.

First drive after offense TD was when we started blitzing. After this our D looked a lot better.

Kinner is special. He has moves for days. Runs tough and rarely gets hit solidly.

The SDSU D-line was gassed before halftime. Those last 2 drives were a result of the tempo (and remember that the tempo was not that fast till those drives).

The 4th and 3 to end the half is a bit controversial now that it ended up a 3 point game but at the time we were down 17 points and driving. Momentum was on our side. Had converted I think 2 4th downs on the drive. On the play they were literally rolled up in Cover 0. No defender was more than 5 yards off the ball. That fade was just a play where you let your players go make the play. It was one on one and we just didn't make the play. I would rather stay aggressive. Plus there was 1:20 left on the clock, plenty of time for the SDSU offense to go down and score. We missed by inches on that throw, catch, and the play. (Story of the game really)

Ok...go ahead and pick on it now! :)
