Lots of new faces on this team. Players look a lot more like a Big 12 Team than I have seen in a number of years. Team speed is much better. Players looked well conditioned. The offense is improved. Offensive line protected the quarterbacks. Quarterback by committee for is okay for now. Kansas has a bunch of capable receivers and running backs. Special teams look competent. Defensive line has some athletes who need more game experience. Secondary improved. Overall it looks like the program is in better shape. We have more Big Twelve type players than I expected. The hard work of players and staff is obvious. Coach Beaty has done a good job in rebuilding the roster and getting his team ready to play. Grade for the Rhode Island game is an A.
