I know it's early, and I know they'll improve but this team isn't very good right now. We're getting very little from the transfers compared to what the expectations were, outside of a couple games here and there.
We are terrible defensively and I don't see a good solution there at the moment. The transfers aren't adjusting well yet and we aren't playing as a unit at all. Chemistry is way off and Self has a lot of work to do.
If anyone can get this team playing at a high level it's Self, and yes we have some excellent wins thus far, but I think we will once again need to be super patient and lower expectations with this team. 5 out of our top 8 are in their first year at KU so they will get better, but I still think this team is going to have some pretty obvious weaknesses. It sucks but this is a new age of basketball and things are changing fast!
