We had hope, because KU had a couple of good non-conference wins, a Hall of Fame coach, and a hot start in a Big 12 that we now know was competitive, but vastly overrated nationally.
KU is the same team that lost to Kentucky by 32 and Temple by 25. Once opponents understood KU's limitations, they exploited them.
