So I've been paying more attention and watching closer and I have come to the conclusion 99.9% chance Cozart will be the opening day starter without question. When you watch them go through drills, talk with coaches, line up with their starting units, etc, etc. he is going to be the guy. Then just why 99.9%? Just slight in case I'm wrong which I won't think I will be.

This is what I think and it just my info and I have no sources on this. I believe Deondre Ford is the type of guy that can wow you. Once in a while he will drop back and throw a bullet in between two defenders you thought no way he can get the ball there. He will pull the ball back in and keep it on a zone read and scoot past the defensive end quickly and smoothly.

The snaps are going to Cozart and Ford. I thought Beaty and Likens would have a starting guy by now and I have a feeling they are close and narrowing it down. Again I have no inside info on this but I would bet that during scrimmages or practices Ford has done some things to push Cozart. But Cozart is just more consistent in my eyes from what we get to see. Beaty said they aren't ready to name a guy. That's because they probably want to get a few more practices and two more scrimmages and they are making sure.

Ford has probably pushed the envelope and they want to see if he can do things day in and day out because he shows flashes of doing really good things. But only the coaches get to see everything not me. I just think after watching the interaction with everyone on the offense Cozart is in the lead. Maybe Beaty was having fun with us saying he isn't close yet. Maybe he's not and I am mis-reading the whole deal. But Cozart is the first guy up and first in line with everything. I thought he threw the ball well tonight.

I'm not much into politics but when I watch shows on election nights networks always say "we have enough information to call this race." I think I am reading it right to call Cozart.

Clyde McCauley played left tackle with the ones. Looked pretty decent. Light on his feet. He needs to get stronger but he is going to have a future. Peters, Haughton, Banks. and Mazyck rounded out the line. Stanford, Parmalee, Sims went with first unit at WR. Cozart went at QB and they shuffled in Johnson and Taylor and I didn't see who was in first.

The defense Mosby, Wise, Fletcher, Goodman, Arnick, Roberts, Tryone Miller, Allen, Boateng, and Fish. Brandon Stewart sat out that part but he went through drills.

The second teams rotated a lot of bodies. At one point Fletcher went back out with the DT on the second unit. Guys I saw out there Chevy Graham, Spencer, Glatczak, Dezir, Corey King, Dineen, Zunica, DJ Williams, Semke, Kyron, Bates, Corey King also got some reps with the ones.

On offense they shuffled as well. The tackle position was tough to read because Shelley-Smith didn't get snaps and I couldn't find Devon Williams. That doesn't mean Williams didn't play. But I didn't get to shoot video and catch every number coming in and out.

Kyle Pullia got snaps at LT, Bragg, Gibson, Rhodes, and Hughes were on second unit. Deondre Ford was the QB and Taylor Martin was RB with Schadler. I really like Martin and Schadler. Keep an eye on Schadler don't sleep on him. Neal and Barbell were at WR and I didn't catch the third ones shuffling in and out. Sternberger got snaps with the second team.

Best play on short yardage D'Andre Banks sealed off the inside tackle and opened up a gap and Kinner was gone. Once he hit the first level the game was over.

They were moving around a lot of players with the second units.

The defense did some blitzing and the OL did a nice job of picking it up. The defense won one series and the offense won another in what we got to see.

The zebras were at the game so they were getting ready for the scrimmage tonight. They had a full crew.
