Was watching my PE class and Thibs walked into the gym. He stayed and talked for a little bit about last night and how recruiting was going so far, he's been really busy and has hit 10+ schools the last 2 days. He was surprised at the KU influence in the Houston Area and how many people are KU fans down here. Also said he thinks they are in the running for some good players in Houston and mentioned the kid from Elsik High School in particular. The principal at Elsik is a KU alum so I'm hoping maybe that will help because all the heavy hitters are on the kid. He thinks Armstrong has the tools to be good but didn't say how quickly he would be on the field. Said the D-Line has a chance to be good. I asked how bad are we going to be next year and he smiled and said "It's a process, we'll have to see."
Thibs is more fun to be around than Wyatt was. Very personable and easy going. Seemed happy to be talking with people about KU football, I think he's going to do a great job of representing KU football.
