The end of the game was a problem for Coach Self. You tell your players do not foul but how do you get them to still play defense. While not at the college level but with some high school players I faced a similar period of time left in a tied game. I simply told my players all to stand at the half court line. Then as the man approaches you simply turn away. It worked and our opponent failed to score.
Unfortunately the play worked but we lost in overtime anyway.
