TCU has usually been solid rushing the passer, this year so far being a similar story. They are currently averaging 3.2 sacks per game, putting them in the top 25 territory for this stat. What I find interesting is that this hasn't really helped them defend the passing game. They are only getting 0.4 INTs per game, putting them at 105th in the nation. They are also giving up almost 260 yards passing per game, putting them at 91st in the nation. So they have been getting pressure on the QB, but it hasn't helped them as much as I thought it would.

Now the OL is getting some heat and understandably so. But they haven't been that bad in pass protection. Some of that has been getting the ball out of the QBs hands quick, but right now they are only giving up 1.5 sacks per game, good enough to be ranked 36th in the nation with respect to this.

One thing that worries me is that even though the offense has only allowed 6 sacks all year, all 6 sacks have been against Ryan Willis. This is a part of Willis's game he has to improve on - making reads quicker and getting the ball out of his hand. I think with starting the game and extended playing time/experience he will improve on this. But that is something I am really curious about in this game - if we can limit these sacks, I think we can attack TCU in the air.
