Let's start off with the portal and I wish I had more developments but I know the staff is combing through every player.
On the defensive end front the staff has reached out to Michigan State transfer Bai Jobe. There is some past connection here because they recruited him out of high school. After doing some digging I learned he was campus for an unofficial visit. So, there is some familiarity with KU, the staff and the program.
Have been told Arkansas, Boston College and Mississippi State are some other schools to reach out to him when he went in the portal.
There have been reports KU is in the mix for Dylan Edwards, but I don't believe that to be true. I'm hearing there might have been minimal contact with go-between parties but KU will not be involved.
There has been contact with Michigan TE Josh Beetham, but I'm not hearing if anything has advanced past that.
I do know the staff has tried to get in the door with Texas A&M center Bryce Foster, but he is going to have a lot of options. We have five days left of the portal being open and a new rule just passed that says after the drop dead date next week not even a grad transfer can go in.
The time is ticking.

A new visitor I will add to the official visit list is Ayden Webb from Lake Highlands, Tex. He told me he will lock in a visit for June 21.
Another Texas recruit who will visit the same weekend is Jordan Covington an OL from McKinney, Tex. He told me he has the visit set.
Chris Simpson is recruiting both players.
Over the next two weeks I think we start to get more concrete info on visits and how the portal is shaping up because the staff will hit the road and can start meeting with recruits in person.
I expect every weekend from June 7-21 to be busy with multiple recruits taking official visits.
