After a pretty solid game on the ground this past week against ISU, I think the hope might be to try and do this again this week against Texas. While that would be nice, Texas is a fairly solid team against the run.

They are only around 80th in the nation in rushing yards per game allowed (which isn't great), but they are near top 40 in rushing yards per attempt allowed (which is pretty good). In the 10 games they have played so far this season, they have forced 8 of the 10 teams to rush for less yards per attempt than their season average. The two teams that did rush for more yards per attempt against Texas than their season averages was Notre Dame (they did better by .08 yards per rush) and Baylor (over half a yard better), of which even then Texas won both of those games.

Now like any game, I am sure KU will try and have some success running the ball...but so far this season Texas has been a pretty tough team to run the ball against when you take into account relative efficiencies like rushing yards per attempt
