Long put the stadium plans on the shelf, perhaps for appropriate reasons, at the time. We all know the stadium renovation is necessary to show our commitment to football. Without question, we should be doing everything in our power to join the Big 10. The research opportunities are spectacular. Would be transformative for our university. If I were the Big 10, I would make the stadium project a condition of membership.
