I was driving from Tulsa to Lawrence to see my grandson, son, and daughter in-law. As I was leaving Tulsa, an on-coming car had a "House Divided" license plate for KU/OU, so I decided to play the old license plate game. Instead of states, thought it would be fun to see how many KU vs ksu front plates I could see between Tulsa and I-35 at Ottawa (decided it would be unfair if I counted Lawrence). Wow...I was pleasantly surprised, and actually amazed. The count from Tulsa to Ottawa (hwy 169 to 59 @ Garnett) was ksu...3...KU...35! The 3 ksu...one just South of Cherryvale; one in a parking lot of gas station in Garnett; and one just South of I-35 at Ottawa. I did see one "House Divided" KU/ksu at about the same place South of Ottawa. Seeing such a major disparity made my trip extremely more fun...RCJH...and may your Memorial Day be GREAT! ...and a BIG Thank You to all of our tremendous veterans!!!
