A pair of Kansas players were arrested after an alleged robbery the past weekend, according to a Lawrence Journal-World report.

Eric Rivers, a sophomore cornerback, and Kendall Duckworth, a freshman linebacker, were arrested and released Monday. The report identified Rivers and Duckworth as suspects in the alleged robbery of a Kansas student early Saturday morning. Neither suspect was armed, and the alleged victim was not injured in the incident.

Rivers was "dismissed from the program for a violation of team rules," Jayhawks coach David Beaty told the newspaper in an email. Rivers was also held Monday on suspicion of sexual battery and criminal restraint, after an alleged incident involving a female student on Sunday.

Beaty also told the newspaper that Duckworth has been suspended.

Rivers redshirted during the 2015 season, while Duckworth played in seven games as a freshman and recorded three tackles.
