On the one hand, we don't want to start the precedent of every new administration using their power to go after previous administrations - that's authoritarian shit and leads to investigations for years for virtually no crime.
On the other, Presidents should not be above the law (regardless of what the GOP says) and should be held accountable. Setting the precedent where you can violate the law with impunity while President is the wrong precedent.
Personally, I think it needs to be weighted. Go after the BIG federal issues, and ignore the ones that can be handled by the states. Thoughts?
