Self made his annual trip to downtown KC for a luncheon for KU supporters. He's such a great ambassador for KU. Always funny and really candid in his answers. While he was highlighting all the good things going on with each of KU's sports, he did take a minute to talk about how football was going in the right direction and how it's more important now than ever to support the football program. He said you can either wait until it's good or be part of the solution by supporting it now when football really needs the support. He said those that support it now will feel a lot more pride watching the program grow. He didn't have to say anything about football, but I thought it was great that he did. He gave Banks Floodman a lot of crap (all deserved) and even former KCMO Mayor Kay Barnes was there and had a question for Self. Great event to attend for those of you that are in the metro and have never attended before.
