Not that anyone with even a modicum of knowledge about the law expected anything different, but given that people like Gorsuch are on the court, it did add an element of suspense.
This appears to have exhausted the last of Trump's cards to play. Some thoughts from all of this:
1) It shows how disgusting the GOP is that they have continued to go along with Trump's spoiled child tantrum at undermining our democracy;
2) It shows how tenuous our democracy is. Trump lost because by and large he was blown out. But what happens if we had another Bush/Gore situation? Does anyone really think that DeSantis wouldn't have overturned the will of the voters and the GOP wouldn't have gone harder at rejecting voters so they could win? I sure as hell don't;
3) Despite the diversionary line of, "he's entitled to exhausting his legal remedies," the rhetoric has caused real damage. There are always small elements of the losing party that say, "we were robbed," but never before have we had a party consistently and aggressively argue that the election was rigged and illegitimate - or stay silent when that claim was made. Make no mistake, this did real damage to our institutions and government and is only going to cause 'coming together' that much more difficult. Every person who sided, defended, or ran cover for Trump as he did this should be voted out of office and ashamed of themselves;
4) We thankfully have final proof the GOP is either largely a party ruled by conspiracy, or anti-American self-serving cynicism;
5) Trump is the GOP, and it's going to be very interesting to see how he steers the party in the next 2-4 years.
