The current crop of the GOP has had a few notable moments of "we aren't actually supposed to say that". There has been the slew of racist comments by Trump and others where the dog whistle was replaced by a megaphone. There were also notable voter integrity reveals through the past few years, and a new report that the GOP seriously considered creating a carve out for GOP voters in FL that were being impacted by the new laws. Basically, "mail in voting is more difficult, but we'll protect you if you are a demographic that tends to vote R."

Entering the fray is Ted Cruz with a hilariously corrupt and awful take on 'woke CEOs'. If you didn't see, he wrote an op-ed outright stating that because the corporations aren't siding socially with the GOP, the GOP won't take bribes anymore. He outright states that companies got by in the past with actions they shouldn't have because the GOP could be bought.

Some gems:

"This time, we won’t look the other way on Coca-Cola’s $12 billion in back taxes owed. This time, when Major League Baseball lobbies to preserve its multibillion-dollar antitrust exception, we’ll say no thank you."

"We’ve allowed them to ship jobs overseas, attack gun rights, and destroy our energy companies." (emphasis mine)

"When the time comes that you need help with a tax break or a regulatory change, I hope the Democrats take your calls, because we may not"

It's almost like an Onion article it's so blatant.
