Man, ESU was hoping Kinner could play because Tech is susceptible to the run
Sam frickin Houston State ran for 317 damn yards. To place this in perspective--they lost to Lamar and play the likes of powerhouses like Houston Baptist and Incarnate Word. Frickin Incarnate Word is on their schedule. Is that a football team or a line from my 4th grade religion class. And they ran for 317 yards against T Tech (and threw for 300 yards).
I am absolutely sold on Willis. The dude can make plays. Our receivers will get there. But we all though the running game would be our strength. And we suck at rushing.
So what are the prospects? Will the OL improve in the next couple years? Do we need to run Martin more? Different scheme? Will passing eventually open up the run?
It's not that we are struggling that confuses me. It's that the opponent of Incarnate Word ran for 317 yards against this same team.
And Willis is a frickin stud.
