What thoughts do you all have on the situation at running back for 2016?
As of right now, they have Ke'aun Kinner and Taylor Martin as the only two guys on scholarship who will be back for next season. Kinner has been banged up quite a bit and Martin isn't a big guy either, so you have to think it would be very tough for those two to make it through next season unscathed. Would Schadler be moved there full-time even though he's listed as a wide receiver? Since KU has so many WR's at this point, could somebody else from that spot be moved if needed? Even if they didn't carry the ball a lot, you have to think some of them could be big threats coming out of the backfield and catching passes.
I know they have a couple of guys they are looking at, so what are your thoughts about this? Will they try and get two running backs with the remaining scholarships?
Even if they do get another running back or two, it's scary to think about what happened in 2014 when KU had two running backs go down before the season even started. We don't want another repeat of having to waste a guy like Joe Dineen at a position where he only carried the ball a handful of times during the season.
