It appears to me that our roster is normally guard heavy.

If positions 1-5 were strict, with no cross over, 14 spots would mean
(1) PG - 2.8 players
(2) OffG - 2.8 players
(3) Wing - 2.8 players
(4) Forward - 2.8 players
(5) Center - 2.8 players

There is obviously crossover between positions.
Peterson (1/2)
Jackson (1/2)
McDowell (2/3)
Dawson (2/3)
White (3/4)
Flory (5/4)
Tiller (4/5)
Shelby (2/3)
Calderon (3/4)

Even with the cross over between positions, we need another guy that can play the 5, and probably another guy that is primarily a 1. We seem to normally have an excess of guys that can play the 2 and we are thin at the 5. Last season we had Dickinson and Flory (a freshmen), and then we would try to make it work with KJ at 5. KJ did a nice job when called upon given the situation, but a top 10 team shouldn't be running a 6'6" guy at center. If we are truly an elite program, we should be in situations where we have to try and make things work with mismatched pieces. We need another true post player in the event that Flory or Tiller have foul trouble, get injured, etc. If we have three spots left, get a PG (preferably not 5'10"), a big man 6'9"+, and a 6'6"+ wing that can shoot and is at least an above average defender.

I really don't know what to expect from Jackson, McDowell, Shelby, and Calderon. But, they are holding down four guard/wing spots, so we need production from someone. If we don't believe in these guys then someone needs to move on, taking more guards and not a post player seems too risky in the event someone goes down.
