"I remember when gas was 25cents a barrel." Well de je vous all over again. In the 1980's oil in this country shut down because the price of crude was around $23.00/bb. The entire overthrust belt shut down. Towns became ghost towns. When oil started to come back it kept going up, and that let for fracking to become profitable. Now the bb is back to th 1980's price. The stuff is being stored and that market is in a mess. Nobody is driving or flying. It will evntually come back. But some people are going to lose a bundle while others are really going to rake it in. Years ago I was at a lecture by an economist who was explaining how much cash was stashed in the world, and it was because of oil. Today history is repeating itself before our very eyes. For some of you it will be your first bad recession. Unfortunately for me, it isn't my first.
