I have watched older games of course. I have the 88 dvd. But I was born in 87 and seriously started watching in 97.

I am not counting postseason success much. I am counting the season as a whole, big wins, talent, chemistry ect.

Tier 1 - The Title contenders

1. 1997 - My first year I watched a lot of games was also they team I believe were the best. Pollard, Pierce, Vaugh and they boys were a ton of fun. They birthed love of ball into me.

2. 2008 - Not just because they won a title, this team was stacked 5 NBA picks and Collins should have been if he controlled his weight. What a magical season.

3. 2002 - Man, I still think about this team to this day. We should have won the national championship. Gooden, Collison, Hinrich, Boshee, Simien, Langford, Miles. Some of the best Jayhawks of all time. Maryland just scored at will. I do think in a 5 game series KU would have won.

4. 2003 - If Wayne Simien wasn't hurt this team wins the national title. I know everyone says that. I love this team. And Collison , Hinrich and Simien were quite the trio

5. 2010 - This team had 5 NBA players. This team dominated everyone. They had 2 losses before the tourney. Hansbrough's senior years UNC had 4 losses going into the 09 tourney. UNI has to be one of the biggest upsets ever. Aldrich, twins, t rob, xavier henry, collins, tyshawn. Team was staaaacked.

6. 2020 - We would have been the #1 overall seed. A dominate big Udoka, a AA PG in Dotson, a candidate for DPOY in Garrett, a good college shooter in Moss.

Tier 2

Almost Famous

7. 1998 - This is probably too low. Too late to change. Pierce and Lafrentz, rest of the team was ok. Great great year though.

8. 2017 - This team was special. Jackson, Dtae , Graham,Dok

9. 2012 - This team was not deep but that starting 5 was a unit defensively and trob was so special

10. 2007 - This team was clearly a year away. I loved and hated Julian Wrights game

11. 2011 - This was a super dominat team. They were 32-2 I think going into the VCU game and just fell short. Selby getting hurt kept them from a title.

12. 2018 - This team certainly over achieved. But what a great trio of Dtae, Malik and Svi

13. 2016 - This team was just missing something in my opinion. Great college starting 5 though.

Pretty good (great by others standards)

14. 2005 - This pains me, but outside of Simien, Langford and miles, we had no depth. Christian moody started

15. 2013 - 1 seed, we had a ton going, Ben Mc splashing 3's, EJ at point, Withey at C. But we lacked some depth and it showed vs Michigan

16. 2001 - I don't remember much from this team other than they were just ok. Not a ton of upperclassmen. I think they were a 3 seed

17. 2004 - What a fun season. Self's first season at the helm. Lots of ups and downs. So close to a final four.

18. 2014 - Embiid, Wiggins, Selden freshman show. A great start with beating Duke. Wiggins ups and downs and Embiid getting hurt led to a disappointing end. I think we were too young and challenged on the defensive end to make a real run.

Bringing up the rear, re builds

2015 - I think this was the best of the last group. Ellis and Oubre were nice, Mason still young

2006 - Maybe the most fun year to watch progression. Mario didn't start early, Moody started a couple games. The freshmen and sophmore's were so fun

2009 - Sherron and Cole absolutely carried this team, taylor was wild with the ball, the twins couldn't jump over a phone book

2019 - This team should have been so much better, injuries, Grimes not living up to hype, dedric was a weird fit.

2021 - Not having a natural PG hurt this team. Obviously this team was a year away.

1999 - Very forgettable year - Chenowith, robertson and gregory were our best players . Wow

2000- Finished fifth in the B12, lost 10 , nuff said
