In previous jobs Grimes has featured an offense that used a high percentage of screen passes. At Baylor he was throwing the ball to a collection of sprinters that could go the distance on a pass behind the LOS. KU doesn’t have anywhere near that kind of speed.
CB was absolutely toasted several times n the first half. A couple of drops by unlv wr helped him greatly! In the second half he came to play and did well.
In the second half the unlv defense was absolutely determined not to let Neal beat them. A lb or a safety crashed the line every play depending which way Neal went. They weren’t even bothering to make sure he had the ball. This gave the defense an advantage at the point of attack.
Unfortunately we kept running the ball on first and second down.

I feel bad about JD but his accuracy has been as bad as his decision making! Good athlete…Great arm. He throws a lot of passes off balance which makes it difficult to be accurate.
I was thinking about the ramifications of the last 2 games. I figure it will cost KU a large sum of money in tickets not sold for each of the remaining home games. That will put a large dent in Goff’s budget.
