Plenty of us have been parts of turnarounds--whether it be sports, activities, or corporate. Even when things suck, you can see elements of potential before the success actually happens. Once you see that glimmer, you can literally see the future and know you're gonna be ok.
So what areas do we have right now that have that glimmer and what areas are total goat rodeos?
Glimmer:
Offensive line. I actually think this is gonna be a strength in the next few years. You can see it now.
Running back. I've felt good here for a long time.
Receivers. Both wide outs and tight ends just look the part.
Kicker. Wow. We can actually kick field goals.
Goat rodeo:
Quarterback. Man, this is a killer. There isn't a hint of promise here. I really want Willis to be that. And he might be. He has plenty of time to improve and he's only played 2 snaps. But from what Beaty has shown us so far, we are a total cluster at the most important position.
All defense not named Armstrong or Dineen. I don't see anything in the backfield or the line that looks promising. Armstrong is gonna be a stud. Dineen looks solid. I don't see much else that shows promise.
Now--how much is player and how much is coaching. I hope to the gods is player cuz I don't see Bowen going anywhere.
