Police officer in Portland indicted for battery, 50 officers resign in protest

For those who didn't see, an officer in Portland who chased after a woman running away, pushed her to the ground, then hit her in the head with his baton has been indicted by a grand jury for 4th degree assault, the lowest level of assault in Oregon. In protest for a fellow officer potentially, maybe being held to account for his actions in the softest terms possible, approximately 50 officers resigned.

I don't think any additional comment is needed on what this shows.
