Recruits see those headlines and you put doubts in their heads about even considering KU. He needs more time (3 years more) so he can get the better players to upgrade the program. Right now is a very precarious time for the program to either dig out of the Gill/Weis era. The "fire Beaty" or "fire Zenger" threads are not helping the program at all in a time when football needs all the help it can get from the fans. As a season ticket holder, I'm just as pissed as anybody but I'm willing to wait to give him a chance.
