Have spoken to several buddies who live around in places like Ohio, Florida, and Oregon. They all say about the same thing regarding the growing perception of KU basketball. A solid program that just doesn't show up enough in the tournament. Has lost some luster due to this.
Of course, it's anecdotal and I know we'll point to Elite 8s and NC and 2 FFs but when you consider that over half of Self's tournament losses have come in fairly embarrassing fashion it's understandable how a program can begin to get a reputation.
Sad as that may be given we have also had great success. But the inexplicable losses are piling up it seems.
