Long overdue amendments curtailing unlimited liability protection for big tech are introduced in Congress. Section 230 of a 1996 telecommunications law is a now 25 years old unlimited shield from liability provided a then growing industry that is no longer needed. The then growing industry is now populated by a few largely unaccountable giants.
