My company is working on a large construction project that requires anyone working on site to have taken a drug screen in the last 30 days. We listed names of those on site, on our letterhead stating they had been tested.

The general contractor asked for proof of the results which we are not allowed to ask for. We can only state that they had taken the tests and passed.

On our first day at the job, our installers were approached by the safety manager and told to go in the bathroom for a drug test while the safety manager stood in the private bathroom with them. There was no suspicion of these employees being on drugs but were told they had to do it.

Are they allowed to do this?
They probably are but it doesn't seem right.

TIA
