The rundown...
My wife owned a condo for 8 years and when we got married we bought a house and decided to rent the unit out. About 6 months in to being a rental the HOA contracted a new property management company. Now there are new rules and regulations. Maybe they're things that were already on the books that are now being enforced, I don't know, but I can say that with the rude demanding tone of their inquiries makes me want to tell them to go fly a kite. They're asking for a copy of our lease, the rental app of our tenant(it includes her personal information about her that I don't have a right to share), restricting pets to one not to exceed 25lbs(I know at least 10 people that need to get rid of their dogs). I understand why HOA's exist. I wouldn't want my neighbor parking junked out cars in his yard. At the same time if I have insurance, pay my association dues and my tenant and her pet is quiet, it shouldn't be any of there facking business who or what goes on inside MY unit as ling as no laws are broken. I lived there for 1 year, my wife for 8, we thought it was a great place to live so I don't no why they can't just leave things be. Can they come in and change things like this?
