tatatown's infamous bike shorts coach reference is where this should be the focus to find the next OL coach. Just go find a guy that can coach. Recruiting success etc means next to nothing on this hire.
D2 has tons of guys that are excellent coaches and even look at the NDSU OL coach who has some same historical low level football past in Wisconsin so the D1aa guys are going to be surely available and would be absolutely ok with a guy that Lance says he wants.
Hell, look at the OL coach at UCM where Z's son is. That guy won't have the same historical bond as Fuchs with Lance but even though he didn't work with Puni at UCM he has been around the region and steadily worked his way into some success.
The corners coach was important for much different reasons than this coaching hire. I won't care at all if it is a dude out of nowhere. This guy needs to know how to yell appropriately and love appropriately while being a teacher of the vision Lance and Grimes have. Bama or Kansas Wesleyan on the CV don't matter to me at all.
