The last time the Jayhawks won on the road David Beaty was a wide receivers coach under Mark Mangino. That was 2009.

One of the best responses of Tuesday's media session came when offensive coordinator Rob Likens was asked about the losing streak. He looked up at the person asking the question and said he has no what losing streak they were talking about.

"Maybe you shouldn't tell me," Likens said.

Beaty and his staff aren't even talking about the road streak. Beaty forgot about until he saw something on Twitter Tuesday morning.

"It's in your face every now and then because of Twitter and things like that when we're recruiting," Beaty said. "That's one of those things that I don't think our kids really think a whole lot about that either. We don't allow them to."

Once the Jayhawks kick off on Saturday the only thing that matters is the game that day.

"That has nothing to do with them, it really doesn't," Beaty said. "If it was a 30-game win streak or 30-game lose streak, you'd like to be on the other side of it, but at the end of the day it doesn't matter. What happens that day is what's going to matter."

It is interesting nobody is talking the past road problems but Beaty and his staff are going about it the right way.
