everyone has been complaining about the excessive number of bowls, but so far the elite New Year's 6 bowls have been horrible games to watch. Unless you have a rooting interest for one of the teams playing in the game, these games have been horrible to watch as a football fan. The Orange Bowl was the only game that warranted watching beyond halftime.
For the most part, most of the lesser bowls have provided close games even if they were between 6-6 teams. I've enjoyed the close games much more than watching games like the Rose where Iowa shouldn't even be on the same field as Stanford.
