If you take out the whole professional career and Nebraska-legacy accomplishments, not sure that is an overly impressive hire (EDIT: to clarify, as far as credentials go...could turn out to be very good for them) for a school that is at the level its fanbase touts it to be. If we're doing apples to apples, I think that would make Jermail Ashley a much more quality hire for KU. At a minimum, shows that KU is at least not the only school that has to make an important hire at not the best time of year to do so.
