My daughter starts Kindergarten next week and I was at her school this week for a parents night. I decided to peruse the trophy case to check out the schools athletic prowess.
I found a plaque used to celebrate the football MVPs. 2008 read like this:

Yes, I believe that's KU's Joe Gibson. Joe Gibson was a 13/14 year old kid. He's now in his 3rd year of college.
At that moment is really sunk in just how long ago it was the last time we had a winning season or anyone really cared about KU football. Kids who are Srs now were 10-11 years old then.
