Wanted to start a non portal thread about KU seemingly leading the nation the last few years with offensive fouls for moving screens.
Several thoughts, I often blame our guards for “leaving early” before screener has a chance to get set. That being said there are many “bone head” plays by screeners sticking knee or hip out at last second.
It really seems KU gets 2 or 3 a game, and I watch other games and there may be 1 total in the game - or none at all.
So one question I have, is if Self is willing to live with it given the advantages of the benefit of “getting away with it” when they don’t call it? Similar to Huggins “foul every play and eventually the refs will let it go” strategy?
It just seems strange that the KU coaches don’t “fix” this, unless maybe they think the benefits of “getting away with it” outway the downside of 2-3 turnover/fouls a game from illegal screens.
