With it looking increasingly likely that Hillary will be President, some in the GOP have stated what they plan on doing...and it ain't pretty. Rather than the usual half-truths of, "we hope to work with the new President to address the many problems confronting this nation," or some approximation thereof, you instead of the GOP talking about how they are going to grind government to a halt.
Despite saying for almost a year that they want the electorate to decide who is the next Supreme Court justice, now that it looks like the electorate has spoken you have Cruz and even McCain reversing course and saying they will not approve any nominee, regardless.
You also have the House talking about how they have enough material to launch investigations of her for 2 years and plan on starting on day 1. Much - if not all - of it is stuff they have already investigated and obviously none of it is about her time as President, but they see their role not as functioning as a government, but hitting the opposition.
So if anyone was hopeful that the government would go back to the days of compromise and choppy, but largely decent governance, don't hold your breath.
