Over the last few weeks I've talked to a lot of high school baseball coaches in the area as well as some of the guys who run the academies.
It's almost like I'm hearing double when I hear them talk about baseball and how a lot of people like Fitzgerald, Coyne and the new baseball staff.
But yet a lot of the good local talent continues to leave the area. I have felt in baseball KU has not done a great job locally but this new staff is hustling and making a huge effort.
Right now they are building more from the junior college ranks and the transfer portal. Very much like football I think it's just going to take some winning before some of these SEC type local guys think about staying around. Lot of similarities and flashbacks hearing the stories about baseball recruiting and how similar they are with football.
