I would have to say I think that this is the biggest failing of the team this year. I went back and watched all of the games this year and I have to say it seems like our DTs and DEs have only one responsibility. In this respect I mean we have no packages for our DL. Our DEs, especially Goodman, are only cutting upfield or crashing the line. DTs are diving the line, cutting upfield. There is little to no engagment of the opposing OL. And when they do engage, especially the DTs, that stand up straight and never have leverage to direct the line to block lanes. There are no stunts, no exchange, no twists, nothing. It is the blandest system that I have ever seen. It must be so easy to scheme the OL for us. This is a huge failing for the coaching staff. Until that is fixed this DL is never going to get better.
