Yes we have executed better and shot better from the field but I can't recall a grittier and tougher effort for 40 minutes than what we saw last night. We havent played close to our potential all season defensively and guys were sliding feet, being active in passing lanes, and overall matching physicality with a very physical team.
Landen and Hunter aren't as talented as Cliff but those guys play their asses off and sometimes heart and hustle will compensate on a team for lack of ability. I thought Hunter was outstanding in limited minutes and he could see more PT today. Iowa State can't play defense and are lucky to be there. We are due for a good shooting game. If we bring the effort today it will be fun sending these assholes packing !
