Drango (Baylor), Darlington (OU), Williams (OU), and Thompsom (OU) are the only 4 star kids to make that list.
All other choices were 3 star kids or lower.
No sophomores, a few juniors.
Only 2 kids were jucos.
The offensive line recruit to make KU successful is more about having the right frame and right personality combined with a more important strength and conditioning coach that has a clear plan and same approach in general to offense so the kids aren't trying to learn completely new things each year.
Getting extremely excited about a specific high school OL is not worth your time just like getting extremely frustrated with a kid going elsewhere.
Consistency and numbers will prove to be the way at KU.
McCauley-showed far more athleticism last year than we saw on film
Hughes-mid major offers to starting OL at KU as a walk on was no small feat by the staff
Rhodes-a 3/3 kid that might play a ton this year b/c he finally developed some
Banks-goes from WAC commitment to best OL at KU in about 14 months
Garza-in the program, working
Smith-injuries will keep him from ever contributing imo
Durley-greyshirt for this kid, no way he plays in Kansas and goes under the radar like he did in Texas
Ribordy-might start by end of season, not too shabby for a walk on
Saulsbury-in the program, working
Lawrence-in the program, working
Jenkins-in the program, working
Harris-smart kid, clearly coming to play center
Frazier-KU identified him extremely early, will be a kid similar to McCauley
Hughes-would have been swamped with offers had he not tore his ACL before his senior season, was an early target
Clark-multiple offers but indications are grey shirt
I don't think I can recall in the last 20 years this much focus being placed on non 3/2 and 2/2 kids at KU for the offensive line.
