I'm interested to hear how others see this season so far. There's the obvious disaster at QB, but ignoring that position, we are quite improved, in some important areas, from last season. Where do I see the improvement, you may ask?
OL - We can now pass protect reasonably well. Couldn't do that last year to save our lives.
WR - They can be relied upon to catch the ball, no small feat for a KU football team. Plus they get open on a regular basis. Sims and Quiv can get open deep.
DL - Pass rush is leaps and bounds better. The center of the line is holding up well against the run, even achieving some penetration at times.
ST - DeForest has done a superb job in his short time. We are better in almost all phases. We even kicked a FG this week!
Everything else has either stood still, or even gone downhill a little. Did I miss something else that has improved over last year (wouldn't it be nice if I did)?
