So, the guy who appoints people incapable of running an election--when that is literally the most important part of the job he was elected to do--is the guy that should run our state, in some people's minds. He effectively got the law changed to allow himself to defend voting laws in the state (and got his butt kicked every time he had to defend them), rewrote immigration policy in the state (even though immigration is a federal issue, not a state issue), and went straight up Lyle Lanley in several small towns to write immigration laws for them that have been almost uniformly found unconstitutional, while billing them hundreds of thousands of dollars for his services (and, in one case, essentially bankrupting the city).
And now that it comes down to a virtually certain recount, given the now 91 vote difference between he and Colyer, he refuses to recuse himself from the recount process, while assuring us that everything will be on the up and up.
I freely acknowledge being a Colyer voter, so I am biased. But seriously- what the hell world are we living in here where there is a real chance this guy could be running the state?
