I haven't been the biggest fan of Keegan since he was hired. For the most part I think his columns are hastily written, unorganized, and more stream of consciousness (a teenager's consciousness) than critical thought. However, his most recent article is a thing of beauty.

I know quite a few people on this site have voiced their displeasure with Keegan's lack of support for KU football. Like an ass, he only made it worse with his "Say something nice about KU football columns". Now, I'm leaning towards giving Keegan the benefit of the doubt. He is probably more tied in to the KU sports scene than 99% of posters on this site and maybe he was actually trying to call it like he saw it. Maybe he didn't want to betray the readership of the LJW by pumping sunshine where he saw a complete disaster.

I still think his columns are worse in quality than Beaty's creativity in offensive schematics or Bowen's ability to stop a three-toed sloth from reaching the end zone in the first half of a game.
