- Lake Mead, due to a massive drought, is over 160 feet below its usual water level;
- New Mexico has the largest wildfires in its states history;
- Thousands upon thousands of cattle in Kansas have died due to heat (and we're not even to July);
- Much of the nation is in severe drought conditions, with no end in sight;
- We have more than doubled the number of acres burned when compared to the 10 year average - and that's with an already higher wildfire average;
- COVID has killed over 1,000,000 Americans, and it's origin is due in part to environmental destruction;
We have ****ed this planet's environment, and if we don't un**** it, we can pretty much kiss our economy, security, and way of life goodbye. So while it's important to talk about inflation and global economic issues, there is a far greater threat that is impacting us now that, for many of you, isn't a driving issue. To put another way, it's like we're being boiled alive, but we're complaining about our shoes being too tight.
