I will admit I haven't read all of the vitriol on here about Coach Self, the players and the program in general, but from looking at the subject lines, I don't think I have to to determine that there is a great deal of angst among many of the Slant brethern. I have to say that I didn't see this coming (the outcome of the game). I was impressed with the way the team played on Friday and I thought they would come out and play that way again today. I also thought the players had had enough of the talk about being afraid to play WSU, etc.

Like many of you, I will have to go to work tomorrow and listen to all of the anti-KU talk. People who cannot name one player on the WSU team will now be calling themselves fans. It is what it is.

What we need to do, as KU fans, is to congratulate WSU for their effort and realize that it is not our birthright to be in the Sweet Sixteen, the Elite Eight or the Final Four. There are other teams that can play. Regardless of what happened today, the University of Kansas is a Blue Blood program-one of the programs that many others aspire to be like.

What I don't understand is all of the hate directed towards Coach Self, Perry, Frank, Kelly, Wayne, Landen, Jamari, Svi, etc. Some of you act as if they owe it to you to win games like this. To quote Coach Williams, they have more "want" in their little finger than most of us have in our entire body.

Yes, the loss hurts. I told a guy today that if KU lost I probably wouldn't watch many more games in the tournament. I am fairly confident I will stick to that.

Rock Chalk, KU. I hope that many of you, who considered yourself to be KU fans, will be in attendance at the KU football spring game on April 25.
