I just went through the roster on KU athletics. I tried (I know this is subjective) to mark down every player I thought had no chance of playing for us. Out of 90 names on that roster, I came up with 16 who I thought would not even participate at all, special teams, offense and defense. That figures out to be almost 18 %. Do you think that is good or bad.
It appears to me we have 74 bodies available. Certainly many of them would never be starters but would provide depth. This is before the roster reaches 105 with all the walk ons.
I really thought it looked pretty good. Seems to me the biggest drawback to the roster is the limited amount of playing time among these players rather than the pure numbers.
