Iraq falling

A militant group now has complete control over the northern halves of Iraq and Syria. They have totally defeated the Iraqi security forces we left behind. Billions of dollar spent on a war that was only a temporary military victory without a social change. Going into Kuwait and correcting that problem had some solid justification and we went in and got out after the original mission was done. But the second gulf war, even with WMD, and now in the "stans" have been a waste of our money, resources, and lives. I know there are geo-political things to consider, but we just don't seem to ever learn from our past.
