The Ft Worth paper has a good interview with the ex-AD. He claims he didn't create the contract for Sumlin (6 year fully guaranteed). It was handed to him (I assume by a President/Regents). He talks about lots of people sticking their nose in AD business.

The Dallas paper has a history of A&M regents getting involved with hiring football coaches. A&M is a different animal and I guess they have a long history of being that way.

With Nebraska news and JK's comment about people overvaluing school relative to results I thought of A&M. A&M really hasn't done anything since Big 12 was formed but fans expect to be a dominate program.
