I'm a freshman at KU and I've never posted on here but I read the Slant and kusports.com every day and I saw a quote from Cozart that may say a lot about the last staff. I'm not sure how much to read into it right now but if Cozart surprises people this year then I think this quote shines a bright light on the failures of Weis, Powlus, and co. at KU. This quote could sum up the Weis tenure.
Here it is, “I’ve learned as much in the past two weeks as I’ve learned in my football career,” Cozart said. “Just paying attention to defensive structure has helped me a lot and has given me a lot of confidence.”

It's alarming that the experienced starting quarterback thinks he's learned more in 2 WEEKS than in 2 YEARS. Cozart may not be the answer (I hope he is) but if he could complete 55% of his passes in this offense then it would at least be more entertaining football until Willis steps up and figures out the the offense.
